Synopsis for the long island and connecticut coastal waters.. A warm front slowly lifts north and east of the area through this afternoon. A weak trough moves through tonight, with high pressure briefly building in Monday. A back door cold front moves through Monday night followed by another frontal system for late Tuesday. The frontal system exits the area on Wednesday as high pressure builds in for Thursday
